On Ice Skill Development Sessions
Rick Traugott brings a wealth of knowledge and coaching experience to the hockey rink and is a terrific resource for coaches and players alike.
Coach Traugott will run on ice skills sessions with individual teams. Not only will
he cater to your team's needs, he will work with team coaches before and after sessions to make sure they too develop their skill set with regards to teaching and improving the skill level of their team. Skill work can include some or all of skating, passing, shooting and puck handling. Coach Traugott can also work with players on individual tactics such as one on one play (defensively and offensively), creating offensive scoring chances and pressure defense in all zones.
Rick has organized, developed and ran a few of our on ice development sessions with great success. The drills and skills are implemented at an easy, obtainable level all players can execute then quickly expanded to achieve the results he is looking for. Short Term Coach Mentoring
Whether it be for one practice or a week of practices and games, Coach Traugott can help team coaching staffs develop and execute a synthesized practice/game plan and help cultivate a communication approach that instills confidence in players of any age. Rick will sit in on coach's and team meetings, observe practice(s) and the bench during games, and ultimately provide valuable feedback both verbally and in writing on how a staff can be even better at the rink.
Presentations and Seminars
Coach Traugott is an experienced presenter and speaker who is comfortable speaker to both coaches and parents of competitive athletes. Along with his presentation for coaches Creating a Culture of Confidence, Rick can speak on many topics including addressing parent groups on appropriate particpation in the "Coach-Athlete-Parent Triangle" focusing on effective and timely communication. Coach Traugott is happy to discuss any subject or material that you feel would be helpful to your team, staff or organization.
